In the summer of 2015, we were contacted by a bright university undergrad who had developed a new product called illumibowl.  His sales were rapidly increasing and he could no longer self-fulfill the orders from his home.  Furthermore, he had an appointment to appear on Shark Tank and was anticipating national publicity.  We quickly developed a plan of action and got to work.  Our transportation desk negotiated favorable ocean shipping rates and took over management of importing the product from the manufacturer.  Next, we created an integration between the illumibowl shopping cart and our system so that we could seamlessly import and fulfill e-commerce orders.  As soon as we took control of the direct-to-consumer orders he focused his efforts on setting up an Amazon sales channel.  The product quickly went live on Amazon in two capacities: seller fulfilled orders and FBA orders.  We integrated the illumibowl Amazon seller central account to our system and seamlessly fulfilled orders, meeting and usually exceeding the stringent Amazon imposed shipping deadlines.  We also shipped larger bulk orders directly to Amazon DC centers across the country so the products could be sold on Prime.  With a fluid fulfillment program in place the founder was confident to promote his product.  Illumibowl was featured on several television shows and cumulated with a debut on Shark Tank that resulted in a live deal.  Each television appearance meant massive order spikes, but our team remained ready with proper labor and packaging materials and always fulfilled orders in a timely manner.
